inspection process

  • Air sampling, direct, swab and bulk samplingstachybotrys
  • Method 1: VOC - Volatile Organic Compound Testing: Detects harmful odors in the home or workplace and helps identify 63 regulated compounds currently listed by the E.P.A.  Have you ever been asked to investigate unpleasant odors in a home orworkplace?  Are occupants developing headaches or a feeling of nausea?  VOCs have been shown to emanate from many building materials including wood, linoleum, paint, plastics, PVC floor covering, glues, wood preservatives, and putty.  Mold and other fungi also give off VOCs as they grow and decompose our building materials. These microbial VOCs (MVOCS) have been putatively linked to ill health of building occupants and are indicative of microbial growth somewhere in the building.
  • Method 2: IR - Infrared Thermal Imaging: A non-evasive test that provides a high degree of accuracy in detecting water intrusion.  IR can detect and verify moisture infiltration behind brick, stone stucco, brick veneers and siding. Water and moisture intrusion are expensive to home and business owners.  Without removing building materials, IR can photograph the affected area, thereby providing documentation and detecting needed repairs.
  • We are currently testing for pollutants, mold and contaminants.  We are trained and certified in the specific areas that are necessary to perform these types of inspections.
  • We recommend retesting the areas after mold remediation has been completed.
  • Allergens – dust mites.
  • All results are Federal Expressed to the lab.  We usually have a 24 – 48 hour turn around time after the lab receives samples.  The lab will then e-mail the results to our company.
